Drove my dad's truck this morning and was reaching to shift and kicking the floor. I have no idea how anyone can stand a slush box haha

Drove past the crummy dealership my truck came from. They still had the same Suzuki Samurai that was there in October!

The Samurai was down by the corner and I didn't see it until we were driving off from the traffic light. It looks really rough.

I broke my E-Brake cable today It just snapped when I pulled up to push the button. Hopefully, I will be going to the junkyard with my friend on Wednesday. Back to studying!


Oh yeah, I installed my rear diff. breather extension last Friday. I just tucked it up over the frame, but will put it with the gas tank filler neck when I get a chance.

Oh yeah, I finally found someone that is slower than me. My friend's Nissan Hardbody! lol

It has a 150hp V6 and a 3 speed auto. It can't keep up with me on the hills. It even has like 28" tires. It pretty much has a straight pipe exhaust (muffler is rusted off).

Junkyard 4-22-2015

Made another visit to the junkyard. I got:

Parking brake cable- need to clean, grease, and paint the brackets

Window switch- for interior rear window switch in the back

Tow hook- I will have them on three corners now, needs paint

Mirrors- from an Isuzu Trooper for when I take the front doors off

Front top hinges- to mount the mirrors on

A cut thumb (glass is sharp haha)


Somebody cut the roof and quarter panel off the 4Runner. It was crazy looking! I will post up pictures when I get on my computer.

I would think that a 5-speed 3rd Gen would feel quite quick if an auto can hit 60 in 9 seconds.

Are you putting the rear window button in the rear cargo area for easier access? Or do you just not have one and your putting one in where I should be?

I put on the parking brake cable last night. I got it really clean, greased the moving parts, and painted the back part red. It looks sweet! :usa:

(it is worse than it looks because it is where my thumb bends. It didn't hurt until I reopened it while picking up a jack stand. I also can't "shlapp da bass" for a while)




I changed the oil last night (2,500 miles and 6.5 months) and greased the U-Joints. The grease zerk on the front driveshaft fell off too :shrug:

I will be taking this opportunity to remove the driveshaft, sand the surface rust off and paint it Rust-Oleum Red!

I had my third AP test today! (Calculus, English Lit., and Physics) So I have some time do do stuff now!

I got the passenger side mirror mounted, but no pics

I need to get some paint for the tow hooks and bumpers. Those should be next!

Another thing I will be doing soon is the rear upper link bushings. The plan is to get the links off a junkyard 4Runner, burn the bushings out, measure them, and order some Energy Suspension ones!

Yesterday, I dusted the interior and cleaned the steering wheel. That thing is nasty! I may just put the '97 wheel on because it isn't sticky and falling apart.
