Which Awning are you using? Haven't even begun to look. Had a Fiama 45 before or my Eurovan Camper and a Parasail Awning for my Vanagon. I did see the tit looks to be an ARB Awning?

is it easy to deploy? Easy to store? How do you secure the end of the awning? Guide Ropes or Legs to prevent it from moving in wind.

Thanks Looks good. You leap frogged me there a bit now I am the one who is gonna play some catchup. I have been eyeing that front bumper for a while but money was tight and what I did have was going into NFA items and my boat. I should be caught up this year to do some more stuff to the beast.

I went with the Eezi Awn Shade 2 meter found here:

Very easy to install, it came with its own brackets. Also quite easy to deploy as well. I used straps on the inside to wrap around the awning itself to prevent it from sagging and laying against the roof. The awning comes with leg stakes to secure it to the ground. I was gonna go the ARB route but I didn't like the fact that the cover was gray, stands out too much. The black blended nicely with the Gobi rack as well as the overall theme of my truck.

I absolutely love the SSS front bumper, its subtle yet changes the front end of the truck without losing its identity. I never considered replacing the entire front end. IMO, they look gaudy and totally take away the identity of the 4Runner. But to each their own...I def recommend the SSS Hybrid bumper.

Is M/T coming out with a matching 4Runner bolt pattern for these? I couldn't find it on their website. Or were you just "posing"? Literally and figuratively!

I have the D2's installed in the factory foglight location and tied into the factory fog light switch, complete with the independent fog light mod so I can turn them on separate from the headlights. I'll post a pic of them on as soon as they are wired in.

got a D2 fog light question: is one type (driving vs wide) better than the other for fog conditions?
the pic above looks like the D2 Driving pattern as opposed to the Wide pattern. (correct me if i'm wrong, just guessing based on the vertical oblong shape of the reflectors)


would like to install Amber D2's in the fogs but i don't have any first hand experience with them​

Hopefully this helps you out regarding the different beam patterns. You are correct, I went with the driving pattern.

I don't think I would've minded either pattern, they project almost identical but the driving has a little further range. Either way the Amber are so orange that you wouldn't see much of a difference between wide or driving IMO. Ill try and get a picture of the view from inside the vehicle.

I got these: MAXTRAX Mounting Brackets with (QUICK RELEASE) mounting pins. | Offroad Designs

You twist the tab shown here counter clockwise and they come out very easily. You can use a small pad lock to prevent theft too.

Thanks for the photos! Defiantly like that quick release pin system. I've got a set of TredPro's coming, just trying to think out how I'm gonna put them on the Gobi. I bought their new mount as well but am not really sure if I'll like the mounting options it gives me layout wise.

Do you have a picture of how and where you fed the wiring for the roof rack light bars, I am trying to get an idea before purchasing the Gobi rack what is involved in doing so.
