Cimate Control Light wont turn off! HELP!

Sup guys...relatively new the forum. picked up my 04 about a month ago. Just the other day it was dead out of nowhere. I noticed that the Climate Control display light (temp, mpg etc) stays lit when the car is off. At one point i had a neighbor tell me my music was playing, as i was inside with my keys. I cant figure out the issue, i have searched a little, nothing promising so i made this thread. I have checked some ground's and they seem to be fine. Btw i installed a new battery a week ago.
Anybody else have this issue? Any help is much appreciated. I have a few ideas of what to do but i want to know if anybody can help or has any ideas

Seems like there is a short somewhere tricking your switched power source into thinking it's a constant power source.

Do you have an aftermarket alarm or anything? Is it isolated to your radio and climate control? Any other electronics that refuse to turn off?

yea its gotta be some short. no everything is stock, no after market alarm or anything.

It's climate control all the time. It just stays lit. if i turn my radio off then it doesnt come on. but i have forgot and it still didnt come on. I dont know what the deal was that one time when it started playing.

On one of my Land Cruisers the ground wire to the rear hatch broke. Somehow power from the courtesy light circuit went backward through the other components in the hatch to power the accessory side of the ignition switch, and random accessories turned on when the keys weren't in the ignition.

Look for something like that, and good luck.

interesting you say that, my right courtesy light chooses when it will work as well. Good info thanks man ill look into that tomorrow.

well i checked the ground connected to the climate/radio and it was above the right tail light...it wasn't lose but i cleaned it up and tightened it. the light stayed off for a few hours and it is back. so it isnt the ground.

so i pulled the Radio2 fuse again which turns off the light when the car is off so it wont kill my battery again. the bad part is i cant listen to music or cd or anything. its killing me

so tomorrow or at some point i guess i will follow the wires up through the amplifiers on the right side of the car hoping to maybe find a bad connection or a pinched wire. anybody else have any similar issues? or any input? thanks guys
