Cladding repair/replacement

I ripped out the passenger side wheel and backseat door exterior cladding on a pole. Anyone have any ideas what it takes to get this repaireded/replaced.

The cladding pieces are in tact, I think they
can be placed back on and repainted. I was surprised that it was plastic. I hope that makes it easier to fix. Any ideas on what I should do would be great. Take it to dealer, order parts myself and replace if possible or take to body shop? Thanks.

I have some scrapes on my cladding at the base of the passenger door. They are about 1' long and are on both the door clad. and the wheel flare. I got a few estimates and they were anywhere from $450 to $600. That was to remove the cladding sand and repaint. I still havent had it fixed yet, because it is on the passenger door I dont see it everyday. If it was the driver door I would have had it fixed right away because it would have annoyed me seeing it everyday.

If you are talking about the plastic cladding on the bottom half of your door, they come premolded to the color of your vehicle and are normally cheaper to replace them repair because they are plastic. Someone decided to open their door into my left passenger door and cut some decent size grooves into the molding and put a huge dent/scrape into my door itself. The molding for a rear door is approximately $325 with all seals and accessories for it and should not be much more than that at all. They charge 2/3 an hour to put it on normally as well. As I said, if you were to replace it, they are ordered to the color of your vehicle as the molding is actually molded in each color so you don't have to paint them. I don't know exactly how much it is for the front door, but I can't see it being much more than the rear.

I just got estimates for this repair. $800 mistake. Ouch. They are just going to order the Wheel flare panel/cladding ($150) and rear door lower cladding ($370) and replace them.

They said they would have to paint it since they couldn't get an exact color replacement and that's costing me another $120 for paint labor and supplies . I'm going to ask them why they can't order exact match to my color. Labor cost was $44/hour at 2.5 hrs.

As long as the damage is just to the cladding you should be fine ordering new. I just had both doors on my 06 sport replaced and the cladding came already painted as said earlier. I saw them before they were installed. If you can put a toy together you can install the cladding yourself.
