Cleaning WeatherTech's?

I just detailed my interior yesterday. The interior is now almost showroom condition. However...

A common problem I am finding is that my black WeatherTech floor mats still look dingy no matter how hard I scrub them. I usually use my car wash soap and water to clean and scrub them.

Any recommendations on how to get these looking like new again.

Curious too, for a longer lasting result.

I wash, degrease if needed, but it goes back to the "used" plastic look after the water dries up. Plastic trim restorer helps while it lasts.

I've been turning my OCD towards other faults now. Kids in the truck, it'll never be clean. Just need it to be bio-hazard free.

Simple Green and the tire brush and water work great on my Husky Liners.

Once they're clean, spray 303 protectant on a rag. Lasts longer than Armor All and it's not slippery once dry.

I use 303 on both vehicles, wife has WeatherTech mats and I have Husky liners. Both look like new and doesn't make them slippery. Stuff is great on vinyl too, really helps protect from the sun.

Didn't even think about 303. I use it for the dash and everything else. I'll have to try it the next time I clean out the interior.

Disclaimer: I haven't tried this myself yet but somebody suggested Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner for WT floor liners. I plan to try it next time I clean my interior.

303 is a good product, impressive UV protection especially on vinyl. Non petro based so won't dry out rubber, plastics, vinyls, etc.

I sold alot of it to our customers at a spa store I used to run a million years ago here in Phoenix to clean their spa covers.

I use Chemical Guys All Clean degreaser and a brush to clean them. Then i use Meguiars Matte finish protectant and they look great.

This is what I use! I've been using it for the past 2 years.

Then, I use this conditioner to maintain their look and hide some of the scuffs and scratches from normal use. Works great also for the dash board and door panels. Free of any harmful ingredients and leaves a subtle leather smell.

I tried simple green and a brush on my weather-tech's.. not much luck -- dirt seems to still hold...

after reading this thread, i'm gonna try scrubbing bubbles next time.

Try Super Clean and dilute it 4:1 and it works wonders. Then I would use a nice conditioner that isn't that greasy or oily and spray on them and wipe off.

They make there own cleaner and protectant for their mats works great better then anything just like there products great atuff

I had a set of tan WT's in a previous vehicle that were constantly grungy looking. I found that dawn dish soap and a brush did a great job making them look new.

Thought I'd share in time for spring cleaning, after years of mud and winter salt stains I gave this Spray Nine a try and it works wonders!

Have been using Scrubbing bubbles on mine. It comes out as a foam and really helps get into all of the grooves.

I use Adam's Polishes but prolly will switch to the crazy amount they try to charge me for shipping.

But for now I still have their VRT.
