Clear bra - where are long term susceptible areas?

What spots other than the front facing bumper/grill, part of the hood and mirrors are subject to the most long term wear from stone chips? Will almost for sure do a clear bra when the vehicle arrives. Are there spots on the wheel wells, lower parts of the doors, rear "wing", etc.? Maybe those of you with lots of miles on and off road can have a quick look and make some suggestions?

Has anyone done full side clear bra to help against brush scratching off road?

I suppose my installer should know, on many cars it's obvious where the spots subject to the most damage will be, but he probably also doesn't work much on 4Runners and other off-road oriented vehicles.

I've had some chips just above the windshield.

I did the entire front and sides because I offroad a lot, and Colorado trails are brutal on paint jobs! Also I install PPF professionally so it was affordable to me. I would say it depends on how much you go offroad and what kind of trails you ride. If you ride in mostly wooded areas with tight spots where branches are scraping your sides...then it would be a wise investment. Otherwise just get the front done. :thumb:

Previous owner installed door edges on the front doors and lower door strips on the rear doors that extend up the rear fender. Considered doing the hood but ultimately held off. It's pretty pricey and I'm not sure I'd do it again if I was paying for it.

The AVS Aeroskin hood protector is low profile and inexpensive. I'm considering going that route.

Clear bra?

Not sure what you mean by a clear 'bra', but we had our '16 Trail clear coated by the dealer before we picked it up this September. Done this with our new machines since 2000. It sure makes it easier to erase minor scratches, brush marks, etc. - Ted

Clear bra is basically a clear laminate, often applied to the front end of a car.
