Clearcoat - white runners?

Sorry if the question has been asked and answered before. I truely did search but didn't find an answer only the question, about mid last year!

Does the white 4Runner have clearcoat?

I have seen a long time ago some discussion on this point with references to various sites, but cannot remember the answer.

Anyone?

I thought all cars have clearcoat on the paint. Or atleast at some point in their life they did lol. I was under the impression clear coat protected the paint and added the glossy finish *shrugs*

I believe that they do. I know some manufacturers don't put clearcoat on their white cars... but good ole Toyota did on our 4runners.

According to my dealer (for what that is worth), the white is a clearcoat.
