Jeddy, you should be fine IMHO. It's been repeatedly said its just a fire road.
I for sure will be staying on the main road, not putting my 40k truck through anything out of the ordinary, unmodified.
 
Jeddy you will be fine, this is the perfect trail fora mixed 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive run. The technical offshoots are short and drop back down on the main road and there is little chance of getting separated.
 
Sounds great to me! What time should we all meet up? And should we have an address or somewhere to meet so we all hit the trail together?
 
I'd say we'd be best off to meet at the trailhead around 7-7:30 and start up the trail around 8. It's to your immediate right, as you exit the I-15N. I've also got another buddy coming in his Tacoma, which I believe is 2wd also.

Exit where? :)

We should meet at a specific point. Either a Ranger station, or gas staion, etc..
 
Yeah I agree, a specific spot or parking lot would be best for me since I have never been around this area before.
 
The Cleghorn trail head is about 100 yards east of the Cleghorn exit off the I-15 North. Exit the freeway, make a right and you're there. We can all just meet up there.

He's right you really can't miss the trail once you exit and turn right. Maybe we can PM our cell numbers as well.

What's the plan for breaks? thinking of bringing mini BBQ, but don't want to hold everyone up if we are only doing 10 minute breaks for pictures etc..
 
Damn!! I'd really like to go on this day trip, but I have way to much work to do on the truck. My bumper is in some serious need of a little love. Plus I'll be rewiring a ton of stuff. Oh yeah, and teaching myself how to weld.lol
 
Alright guys, I'll be leaving OC around 5, and picking up my passengers in Corona at 6. See you there after 7a. As far as breaks and stops are concerned- we can take as many as we need. We're not racing a clock, and there are a ton of photo ops along the trail.
 
I'm expecting a buddy from Pasadena and he will get to my place by 6ish, meeting up DLAK around 6:30. So we will probably by there by 7:30ish if that's cool.

Anyone know if this is BLM Land and we can unload some rounds? Or if anyone is against the idea, scratch that. :50cal:
