Clicking from traction control at slow speeds

I've noticed it in two scenarios, on dry pavement:

A) while stopped on a steep incline, the vehicle will roll back slightly when i release the brake, and the clicking/traction control will turn on when i apply the gas.

B) When backing out of my garage and down my driveway (decline), the clicking/traction control will sometimes get enabled when I accelerate after sliding it into drive. I'm giving it a reasonable amount of time for the gears to shift. I'm not just throwing it into gear and gunning it...

Any thoughts?

I think you are describing "Hill Assist".

If your driveway is fairly steep, or your driving on a hill, the "Hill Assist" kicks in. To get a better feel for this does, stop on a hill, take your foot off the brake, and the truck rolls backs 6" or so and stops on its own. It'll hold for about 3 seconds and then beep..alerting you that hill assist is disengaging and you need to either hit the gas or the brake. If you depress the brake it starts all over.

I agree with Pat on the Hill Assist point... Backing out of the garage may be it's test cycle. The first time the vehicle achieves 3-4mph after start it does a quick check of the brakes system to include powering each brake. It makes exactly the same noise as a Hill Assist.

I have noticed the same thing with mine, but only 1st thing in the morning. If I back out of the garage, stop, shift to D, then start to move slowly I get a very MINOR clicking. It does not seem to do it any other time of the day. How loud is yours? Do any lights come on? If you are still rolling backwards and shift the system (HAC) will think you are on an incline and kick in, I found that out once

That's exactly what happens. No lights come on. Glad it appears to be normal...
