Climate Control Dials

Hey All,

I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. when I turn the knob to adjust the temperature on my limited 5th gen, it feels like it is a little sticky almost as if a piece of sand or some dirt has got behind the knob. just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It still works fine but is not smooth anymore when you turn it. Can you just pull the knob right out to clean it??

Thanks

We've got two dials in our LE. The drivers side dial feels the way you're describing. The passenger side feels smooth.

I haven't worried about pulling it apart. If it starts to feel worse, I'll probably take a closer look.

Yeah... I actually noticed EXACTLY same thing 3 days ago. Driver side has that slight "resistance" feeling, while passenger side turns smoothly. 2012 LE

Yeah I have the same setup with the dual climate control and 2 knobs. The drivers side definitely is not as smooth as the passenger side. it is a rainy day to day so I thought that maybe the moisture in the air might be the culprit. I agree though Joel, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" Maybe it will resolve on its own.
