As an FYI for folks looking to do the swap, there's a couple units left floating around on eBay for <$70, get em while they're hot! I'm ready to go preemptively take my dash apart in preparation, hah....not having that display has always irked me.

Are there any links to the actual clock display for this?

I'm confirmed for a 2018 TRDP arriving from the port next month and this is the mod I've been waiting for with my 2015 LE. Now that I'm getting a compatible truck I want to do this but the part numbers listed below all run for ~$350. That's a bit steep right now when I've got multiple other things on my list.

holy mother of god, the dealer wants a good chunk of change for that module. Just be aware of this, if you cant find it on ebay or on a wreck.

Other than that, i still think this is a pretty cool upgrade.

I'll wait until I can find a blue one available on ebay since there are no junkyards nearby with late model vehicles.

If someone is looking for an orange display though, ebay has one for sale, but I cannot share the link because for some reason it links to a $600 something equivalent.

Quick question,, will the instrument cluster display and this display work independently of each other? Or will changing the mode of one also change the other?

[MENTION=96475]zonzin[/MENTION] good question! The instrument cluster display (ICD) and the accessory meter display (AMD) work independently of one another. So, let's say you wanted to display "range to empty", or "speed" or "time" in the ICD and "Avg. mpg" on the AMD. This is possible. Let me list the different information screens that it will show as well as redundant info displayed:

Redundant info (i.e these will display the same as the ICD all the time:
-Outside temp
-Compass (if the vehicle has NAV for the ICD, and once the compass is calibrated for the AMD. Non nav vehicles will gain a compass in the AMD, but not the ICD with this mod).
-Multiterrain select info i.e the AMD will also display "Mud, Rock, Sand"

Independent info
- Avg. MPG (AMD, ICD)
- Range (AMD, ICD)
- Speed (ICD only)
- Angle of wheels (ICD only)
- Time of operation (ICD only)


To reset AVG MPG, etc. you have to do it like you normally would within the instrument cluster. Hopefully this explanation helps, but let me know if you want clarification on anything.:thumb3:

Ah gotcha, thanks for the link. I'll give him a shout, but I bet my 2020 has completely different wiring that will prevent the mod.

Curious if anyone else has done another write up for this ? Also why did old red thread get removed ? I just purchased a 2015 trail premium and I'd love to do this mod !
