Have you given the snorkel a fair testing yet?

I sure did. Took some friends down to the river to swim and hang out on a Sunday. After a couple of hours lots of people started to show up at our spot. At this time, around noon, many beers were consumed and I had everyone load up and said we were going to the other side away from everyone else. They trusted me for some stupid reason, beer maybe. Water was up to the doors and crawling across big slimy rocks we made it just fine. Wish I could have got some pics but didn't want to stop and open the doors. The entire turbo system was submerged and worked flawless, I was kind of amazed later but at the time I didn't care, go or blow.

Got the air pump relocated so it isn't in the way of the bumper.

Got the stock bumper off, now to fab up a new one.

Would it be too much trouble to make a thread as you go along with building the bumper? I want to replace the replacement Taiwanese ones I have, I am confused how to keep the bumper out of the way of the hole for lowering the spare. Thanks.

I don't run a spare under the truck, it will be on a swing mounted to the bumper. After the body lift the holes didn't line up anyway.

I remembered the air tank was in the way right after I posted that. Good luck with it, I'm sure it will look awesome!

It will slip right around three sides of the frame and use many large grade 8 bolts.

I found this only pic.Is this what you are thinking of? How much is this going to help? other than making it easier to remove the shock...

Funny you found that too. I talked with this guy "Chappy Steve" and am going to do something similar without the bumps stops though.

Any chance on getting the source/code for the shifters program?
also I'm confused on how it works, do you just piggy back off of existing wires in the vehicle? or did you have to wire in leads from your little shifter box.

Possibly, if I can find it. There is two sets of wires, two from the stock ecu and two from my paddle box. They are wired to two pole double throw switch to go from stock to paddle shift.

Wow...I cant believe I just spent over an hour reading that whole thing! Amazing setup. Im kind of surprised that you installed a lift instead of putting in rocket boosters under the car to just fly it over any obstacle.....:wow:

It has been almost a year but I finally had something on the turbo system fail. Went out wheeling last weekend and started to smell burning oil, got out and looked under the truck to see oil dripping from the turbo area. Turned around and got it home in time without the oil light coming on. By the time I got home it wasn't dripping but spraying oil. After towing it to work and looking at it I found the solid steel oil feed line from the engine to the turbo finally cracked from shaking around. We talked about putting in a couple feet of braided flex before the turbo but I totally forgot about it and never got around to doing it. So I re-flared it for now, added 3 quarts of oil and ordered a flex turbo feed hose. Could have been a lot worse I guess, I shouldn't have overlooked one of the most important components of the system.
