Clownmeat's build thread

Haven't given up on the paddle shift, seriously had to order a lighted magnifying glass to solder this stuff.

Yeah, I still need to build a air intake, just haven't got around to it yet.

And to sidetrack me even further I picked up some brand new Rancho RS9000 adjustable shocks for $25. They were left over from a parted out lift kit we did here and at end of year inventory didn't want to count them, so I got 'em.

Just need some shock hoops, then I can finally let it stretch like it should.

If you are referring to this pic, the black one is a 2.5" coupler from home depot, the one on the right is a specter 3" from autozone. Worked fine to get me around until I could order some nice silicone ones with t-bolt clamps.

no, the part that your mass air flow sensor is attached to, where did you get that piece at?

I just pulled the sensor out of the stock air box and clamped a coupler on each side, that's it.

Sorry if it's been posted already, but I didn't see it; what scavenge pump did you use (company/flow etc)? Also, where did you pick up your turbo from?

I used this diaphragm pump, works excellent but kind of noisy. If I do another one I will use a gear pump.

The turbo is just a cheap (probably Chinese) version of a T3/T4, lots of wholesalers sell them. I've had one on a car for like 4 years and has since outlasted my garret. But some blow up in a month.

Kind of off topic but turbo related. I forgot about my Honda sitting in the back yard and the water/air intercooler didn't have antifreeze in it and noticed the pump laying on the ground. It froze and broke off. Tis the season for $h*t to happen. Just a friendly reminder if you use water/air. :ybrick:

Just picked up a holeset hy35. I still need to order the turbowerx scavenger pump, tial 38mm .5 bar wastegate, tbolt clamps, pipes, couplers, oil line/fittings, boost gauge, and innovate wide band. Thanks a lot Clownmeat.

Curious to see how a turbo that big will spool on a 3.4, but I have seen them on 4 cylinders. Keep me updated or link me the turbo build thread if you make one and let me know if you have any questions, good luck too.

Had lots of questions about the oil feed line so here you go.

This is where I put it just because it was NPT and I was driving it everyday and ACE hardware had the fitting for like $3. Where I put it is before the filter so the optimal place would probably be where the oil pressure sensor is, then it's after the filter. To do that you just need to buy a BSPT adapter, I use one from stealthmode performance on the Honda, it's really nice because it has 1 in and 2 out so you can screw your pressure sensor back in and run a feed line or another gauge or whatever.

Sorry for all the questions, thanks for answering.

One last question. That NPT fitting above is 3/8" or something else?
