Clunk in full turn reverse

My 4runner is 2012 SR5 4X4 with 18000mi. Have driveshaft replaced under TSB. When I cold start the car, reverse in full turn, sometimes my 4runner will give me a clunk sound.. I uploaded a video recorded today.

The noise can be clearly heard at 0:14. I went to dealer yesterday, since it's not cold start, so mechanic cannot duplicate the noise. Any idea&thought appreciated! Thanks guys!

That is a weird sound. Does it do it turning the other way when backing up also? Also its only at that one point. It doesn't do it per wheel rotation either.

I'm not sure. Last time dealer mechanic said it maybe the brake system thing..

I don't know what that noise is, but I get it A LOT of the time when making my first full lock reverse maneuver. By "first", I mean the first instance of rolling backwards after having gone forward, if that makes sense. I read on here a reason for it I think, but I haven't the faintest idea what it was sorry :tape:

I personally wouldn't worry too much about it if nothing obvious is out of whack underneath. I had this noise wayyyyyy back in the day, like not even 2000 miles on the odometer.

Hey eddie, are you getting the same kind of noise? Today it was not cold start, but going back home and parking, I heard the noise again.. Really annoying.

Torsen center

I had this in my MR2 transaxle after putting in a torsen dif.
If you guys both have torsen differentials, that's the noise. When you run it backwards with the axles out of sync the thrust washers slam over to the opposite surface on the housing. Not a big deal but loud when they move fast which happens every time the opposite axles revolutions are way out sync like at full lock.

Sorry, yes what I meant to say is the sound I hear is very similar to the one in your video. It doesn't seem to happen dependent on temperature because I definitely hear it year round.

It kinda sounds like the brake pads moving inside of the calipers. Does it make this noise while holding the brake? Does it make the noise when you let off the brakes?

Are you experiencing any brake drag? If not, then I would look in the drive terrain. Also, it would be most helpful to know if you get any feedback from the vehicle before, during or after this happens. Are you using the parking break? Is there any "thump" feeling when it happens? Does this only happen at full lock in reverse - after a cold start?

Swarty, thanks for the input.. I wonder if this has anything to do with the driveshaft? That's the only place being touched before(replaced by dealer under TSB, I don't have confidence on their mechanic to be honest)

Yes, when I hold half the brake and go reverse with full turn. The noise came during holding the brake.

Actually no brake drag at all.. I always use parking brake when parking. There is no thump feeling, it's more like a very small and clear vibration like spring moving..
After driveshaft replaced, the thump described in the TSB mostly gone. But I experienced more clunk noise since then..
