clunk on washboards with tundra 5100s

I've had my tundra coils and 5100s for almost 2 years now and I always thought they were too stiff but lived with it because I liked the lift. Now I'm getting a clunk noise from my front passenger side on washboards and on full extension. Anyone else run into this? It sounds really bad but I haven't seen anything that looks like it should be doing this. I had a friend of mine sit in the passenger seat while I was driving so he could hear it and it wasn't nearly as bad. Seems like a problem with not having enough weight in the front. Weird that it's just the one side. I thought it was a bad shock but Bilstein won't honor the warranty because it's a tundra shock on a 4runner. If they would make one for ours, I'm sure we would all be using it.

I was thinking of switching to the tacomas but I would need new springs as I didn't keep mine so I might go to coil overs.

Anyone run into this?

what do you mean by spindle?

I know some people have said the springs are close to the upper a arm. I looked before to see if I could see any rub marks on it but didn't see anything. I need to get it up in the air again to take a better look but this cold weather doesn't exactly make me want to work in the garage.

It also doesn't seem to be cornering as well as before. Goes straight just fine but it seems like it just doesn't want to turn.

Just under the Upper Balljoint, the spindles have this weird hard edge on them, and at droop if the coil is in the right spot, the edge of the spindle will catch on the coil, like this:

No sliders on mine.
I don't think it's the spindle hitting as I'm on the lowest perch and when I looked before, the spring was pretty far away from it. These aren't big bumps that would be causing it to bottom out, I'm talking a series of small ones.
My new steering rack just came today so while I'm under there, I will take a closer look.

Tundra Suspension without sway bar = good

Ok so I look at everything and I don't see anything that would be rubbing. I take off the sway bar and couldn't get the lines off of the power steering rack so buttoned up everything but left the sway bar off. I must say the truck rides much better without the sway bar and the clunking noise is gone. It of course doesn't corner as well when getting off of exit ramps but besides that it's much better. I either need extended sway bar links or just leave it off as it rides the way it should now.

Sounds like you found your issue. With the added down travel, you were over extending the sway bar links.
