The mounting bracket for my clutch in my '91 T4R v6 4WD broke about a year ago. The shop I took it to advised at that time that the part was on back order from the local Toyota dealership and that instead of waiting upwards of another month (my truck was already there for a month waiting), that they would weld their own makeshift bracket so I could get back on the road.
So now the bracket has broken again and I have been advised that while they have re-welded the existing bracket that they dont expect it will last more than about 6 months based on what happened this last go around. The problem is that the dealership now advises that this mounting bracket is no longer being produced and that my only option is to go find a replacement in a junk yard or something.
I have been searching different sites and cannot seem to find a replacement part either. Hoping to avoid having to eventually pull a part from a junker. Anyone know of any sites that might have what I am looking for? Or maybe do I need to look into an after-market compatible clutch pedal kit that would include a mounting bracket?
