Clutch or trany problem

Im on a road trip from Colorado to Cali and back again. After a long day of driving through the desert i developed an issue.

Switching from 3rd to 4th i got hesitation, the truck would surge forward and struggle to engage after a couple of surges it would finally engage. It also struggled to go down from 5th to 4th. few times i got hesitation going 2 to 3 as well. In stop and go traffic i can engage in and out of 1st fine.

Any one know what my problem is?

Sounds more like an engine problem. Is it hesitating, or is it acting more like a warped flywheel? A warped flywheel issue is more of a shuttering than a hesitating.

I brought it in and got it plugged in, my result was an error 14. The mechanic recommended a new ignitor. Im looking further into it...
