Clutch Pedal Free Play (and piston rod adjustment)

Hey all,

I replaced my clutch master cyl today and I cannot find my service manual for the life of me. It is buried somewhere.

I THINK the pedal free play (at the foot pad) is supposed to be 1/4 inch?

This equates to a loosey-goosey piston rod when the pedal is not being pressed.

This also equates to the clutch beginning to engage and pull the truck with the pedal about an inch off the floorboard.

Does this sound right? Can someone remind me of the specs if I am wrong?
