I will be at Tamarisk Grove campground Friday night but I will be there to take my wife flower viewing. Seems that since I bought a $30k truck she expects me to take her places in it, go figure!

I am moving out to Inland California towards the end of June and I would love to attend one of your events, pending my work. I was looking around the web, and saw that there are the huge rocks, i guess you guys call them mountains.

What is the current petroleum (gas price per gal.) in California?

By the way, I drive a 2004 V6 4Runner Sport.

I am paying about $2.10 - $2.20 for 87 octane in the LA area. A few weeks ago I paid $2.62 for 87 octane at Furnace Creek in Death Valley.

Expect to pay around $2.00 - $2.25 right now for 87 octane.

But by June it might be as high as $2.5 - 3? Who knows....

I remember when it was $0.25/gallon, of course a pack of smokes was $0.25 then also.

In 1998/1999 in Kansas the gas price was $0.77 per gallon. I remember filling my empty 1997 Ford Ranger full of gas for around $10.00.

Driving what we drive, I don't think we have much reason to complain. I have it worse, due to the s/c I added. Again I can't complain, because I knew the situation before I got my rig and added my s/c.
