I have that same CB installed in our Jeep. It's mounted under the driver's seat. I slide the mic between the seat and the center console when not in use. Fairly well hidden that way.
I'm using a Firestik II antenna. It's slightly taller than the vehicle for enhanced range.
I have an SWR meter, and was easily able to tune the antenna (important!) via the threaded end that changes the overall length of the antenna.
The box that needs to be mounted is rather small, giving you options on where to place it.
It's a good trail radio. We use it often when going out with our club. But it's not great, and CBs have a very limited range.
I have a ham radio license, and have far better options... but few other people in the club have licenses, so CB it is.
Keep in mind wherever you mount an antenna, it's a big whip. When it snags a branch while off-roading... and you keep progressing forward, it will suddenly BANG up against your vehicle. Keep that in mind when picking a location.
For temporary use, you could always use a mag mounted antenna, and run the cable out through a window.
