I just sold my 4Runner a week ago, and I pillaged the CB out of it. It's a great CB, Cobra 18 WX ST II with the speaker facing forward, so you can mount this baby in the dash! Make for the cleanest install possible. This gets a little better though, because I am anal retentive about wires. I had the antenna custom made for my 99' 4Runner, but should work on any 4Runner or other SUV for that matter. I had the CB shop take an antenna, cut it, and add a male and female adapator mid-antenna. I wired this straight under the center console, under the back seat carpet, and up the pillar where the back driver side seat belt goes, and I popped this adaptor out at the headliner. So, with this setup, you can keep the antenna on the truck for off roading or road trips, but just unscrew the antenna at the headliner to remove it from the roof for car washes or the garage. It has been the PERFECT setup! I also added a 90 degree elbow to the back of the CB so the antenna doesn't come out and hit the firewall, it's a tight fit. I had the CB peaked and tuned as well, so it's a powerful one!
