Code still showing but no CEL?

So I went through one of the worst back and forth visits to my dads mechanic to get my knock sensor replaced/fixed. They did all kinds of things to it but now it's running great, question is why is my CEL not on but the P0330 code still showing? My brother took it to school were he had his teacher a master tech tell him that some cars would have a problem and it would be stored in the computer but I don't know it doesn't have any problems and I really don't wanna take it to the dealer unless I absolutely have to, any ideas?

It might be a pending code, so it won't throw the light. That means it got a momentary P0330 error, and the computer is waiting to see if the error comes back. It won't throw the CEL until has a couple confirmations of the error.

If that isn't it, then maybe the CEL light is burned out?

You can clear the pending code the same as a full code and see if it comes back.

Yeah I've tried that, the bulb isn't burned out though because it comes on when the car is on the on position. I'm still kinda stumped =/ anyone have any other theories?
