The trim piece was cracked, looked like the window split up, split through the trim, then blew out. Pretty sure if Safelite does it they'll put a new trim piece on, along with the inner seal obviously.

I'd be down, that trip there this past weekend was the first in a while for me! I miss it, the PNW guys were talking about hitting up somewhere on I-90 here soon.

Window replaced a few days ago, also got around to painting my SR5 flares I bought about a year and a half ago after being pulled over about 2 years ago and telling the officer I would have them within 2 weeks of that. So, a little late, but now with the mudflaps and flares, I hopefully shouldn't be breaking any laws and have any more problems. olice: Burtman spoiler also came in the mail the other day, that'll be on here shortly.

Looks. great. How was the install process?

Not too bad. You have to drill through 3 sheets of metal from the top to the inside, the 3rd layer is at a really bad angle, so each time the bit would go down into it, it would bend and snap off. After maybe 6 bits, we got them all drilled. Took a little bit to get it aligned good and all the bolts up in, but we got it good! I love it.

Great build. I kind of like the mud flaps. They fit in well with the bumper and flares. How did you install them? Those coils look nice. Where did you get them in such good shape?

Thanks. Just got some bent pieces of metal in a square U shape from the hardware store, and used that to mount to the fender, since it wasn't sitting flush like it was to the bumper side. LC coils I just got off a guy on craigslist, sprayed some degreaser on them and wiped it down. Was surprised myself of how clean they came out!

Little update here. This thread has been dead for a bit, I've been busy with other projects. Mainly my '88 4Runner, just finished up the 5VZ swap a couple months ago, still a lot of things I have planned for it, it will stay looking as it does though, no big bumpers or anything way over the top. So mainly stock. Also, had a 76 Hilux pretty much handed to me, will try to get the 20r going in it, or try to find a good deal on a replacement. If not I was given a 22re by a friend to put in it. Just skimmed through some of your build for the first time and I must say you've got a great looking rig!

I too have the true flow intake with the filter. How often do you oil your filter and what do you use? I haven't done mine since I've owned it (15k miles) and it definitely needs to be done soon.

Thanks man. I maybe have 20k or so on mine. I've washed it and oiled twice I would say. Once was because I went a dozen miles up a dusty road following a buddy with the stupid deckplate open, sucked in a ton of dust. The other time wasn't long after that. Just take it out once in a while and take a vacuum to the front side.

I'm not saying you shouldn't clean and oil it, but if it just gets dirty on the surface after you've oiled it shortly before, then just do that. Maybe google search and see how often it should be done because I honestly don't know. Every other oil change sounds good.

Did yours come with the oiling kit? I bought mine already installed so mine didn't come with one.
