Coilover Help

I need some coilover help, When i installed my setup 2 weeks ago i adjusted them, 3 turns to make them taller. Today i noticed that my front was sagging. so i adjusted them another 3 turns. they settled about 2" lower form the first time i adjusted them which i get cause they are new. So after todays adjustment, i went on a quick dirt run, came back and the front is sagging again. Im confused on whats going on. are they not expanding back up, could the UCA's have something to do with it.

You might get more help if you tell us exactly what setup you installed. I have Bilstein 5100's, so I'm no help. But I believe there are a couple different threaded struts and spring combos out there.
 
Something sounds wrong. There will always be some slight settling... but 2 inches after one run sounds crazy.

Elaborate on the setup.
 
How many inches of aluminum thread showing between top of black collar and black cap...
 
I read your post again... Explain how you adjusted them. 3 Turns on the ground, or did you lift it in the air then put it down. 3 turns won't make a 2" change to ride height. My guess is you lifted in the air and that is causing your confusion. It will always stay up higher until you drive it and let the camber settle back into place....
 
FWIW - based on the geometry of the a-arm it's about a 2:1 ratio of coilover length to ride height. So if you want to ride 2" higher, you'll need to adjust the collar about 1". 3 turns isn't going to move more than maybe 1/4" or a little more.
 
The hex adjuster isn't turning as you drive is it? Measure the distance from bottom thread or top and make sure the nut is not turning.

There should be countersunk screws to keep this from happening. Make sure they are tight and maybe thread lock them to keep them that way

I adjusted them with the front jacked off the ground. Right now I'm currently 6 turns on the driver side and 5 turns on the passenger side

How many turns is recommended with icon. I my ride to be more leveled if anything.

Yea that is in place and hasn't moved at all.

That is the source of your confusion. When you lower the truck it does not go back to normal ride height until you drive it forward and let the wheels run out.

Just adjust on the ground if possible.

1.5 - 2 inches of threads from the top sounds about normal. It all depends on the weight of your truck.... Think mine are 1.5 and 2.0 ish
