i was shocked at the mid season firing of Miles. It should have happened at the end of last season or the end of this season, mid season firings don't end well...

also Aggie fan reporting in to say we probably have the best schedule we've ever had since joining the SEC in 2012. fingers crossed we can keep it up, if we can quit having cringe worthy first halves...

i have beaten aggie syndrome so even when we are starting off so well (4-0) i can't read into the hype and i get anxious before games because we can't keep this up. so here's to hoping we can keep it up, beat South carolina, and then beat down Tennessee. hoping, real hard.

Sad to see a well respected and well liked coach like Les Miles lose his job. Granted, he has made critical clock management mistakes during big games, but good luck finding a coach who will consistently bring you 8 win seasons. Time will tell.

As for my Ducks, well, it looks like dark time are upon us. We all knew a day would come when we have a down season, but it's disappointing how we appear to be lacking serious leadership. I hope our guys find success, but we have very little talent, especially on defense.

Problem with Miles is he was too stubborn. Despite his record and his great coaching he needed to do something different with his offense other than bringing in Etling. My Dawgs are doing good so far but we'll have to see how they do against Stanford on Friday. This could be the year for Jake Browning and the team. It's a much more mature and seasoned team. If they can get through Friday I think they have a solid chance of staying in the W's the rest of the season.

If you guys can keep WSU under control this Saturday you should do alright. Problem is you're over in Pullman and not Eugene. Need to take care of business early the way Wilson did this weekend. Saturday I'm doing a "Ham Cram" for my technicians license. All day from 8-4. Grrrrrrr.

I'm up in Seattle all week. I'm trying to get some tickets from my boys. It's a packed stadium already. Oxygen seats left. I'll be in Happy Valley on the 8th for the game. Spending time with my Duck friends. I'm hoping we'll have roast duck for dinner. haha

Some coaches are just terrible; I think sometimes how much a*& did this guy kiss to get here. Take Brady Hoke, who left his QB in the game after he suffered a concussion in 2014. He looks to be keeping that losing streak alive and well this year in Eugene. Rock Rat must be thankful Hoke is a Duck, and a bad one at that.

Yea, it's early, but I'm not buying what Brady Hoke is selling yet. They have absolutely zero talent on the defensive side of the ball, so I give him somewhat of a pass at the moment for inheriting this mess. But the wheels are about to fall of the wagon, especially if we lose this weekend. Our humbling was due, but it's sad to see it come about largely because of poor coaching.

Mike, your boys at UW have a great coach in Peterson. Even if they lose this week, I think Washington is trending upwards. I really think next year will be their true rise in the PAC-12 though. Lots of young, undeveloped talent throughout the team. And both Gaskin and Coleman are solid backs.

Ducks need to come out on the W side against WSU to get any kind of momentum going for next weekend. Not sure if they can do it. This win against Stanford was huge. Definitely a potential national title team again.

Did you see one of the fans holding a sign yesterday? "Support Deforestation!" Drawing of their mascot being cut down. Kinda funny coming out of the PNW. The worst mascot up here is Evergreen State College with the Geoduck. I told both my boys you WILL NOT got to a school with a geoduck as a mascot. Can't happen! UW was a good choice.

My heart and liver are both toast.

It's weird, last year, we would've KNOWN that UT wouldn't stage a comeback. This year, its like we thrive on it. Even with 10s on the clock, we thought we had a chance. Never expected a hail mary though. We NEVER pull that off.

But we ALL know we cant pull the "come from behind" bs against A&M and Bama the next 2 weeks. So it'll be interesting.


With that said, Louisville and Clemson should've just ended in a tie. Both teams looked amazing. Also, LOL @ FSU losing to UNC. Yesterday was a GREAT day of CF.

Got home just in time to watch the 4th of that game. Agree 100% with the announcers who said if Louisville ends up running the table, that there's no way anyone on the committee could fault them for that loss. The 4th down play to end it was unfortunate. Seemed like the WR thought he had plenty for the first.

Oregon is having a tough year to say the least. I was hoping they could pull off a win against our rivals down here in Pullman but it's not in the cards this year. Time to rebuild. If WSU can beat them like that then we should be able to do the same, especially after a 44-6 victory over Stanford.

The Clemson Louisville game was pretty good. I thought for sure Louisville was keeping that game but the last 7 minutes of the game Clemson pulled it off. Was thinking about [MENTION=69868]LittleCaesar[/MENTION] after that game.

We'll have to see how the Seahawks do against the Jets today. They need the same game they had against the 49er's.

I was surprised at how well they looked today. Opposite coast road games never treat us well.
