Colorado BS thread

There are soooooo many T4R's here! Today I came across every gen on the road while driving around town. But I never see any T4R stickers on any of the runners I come across here. Need to order some myself tbh. 4runners here seemed to be used for everything from off roading, biking, Family vehicle, work truck, animal transportation, etc... Plus working for Toyota I figured I'd see at least a few fellow members from T4R.ORG at my job. A Denver area gathering would be massive! :biggrin2:

I need to find one that's close to Blizzard Pearl and I'd rock a sticker.

So.. what do you do for Toyota?

I went back to being a Lube tech when I was in Jacksonville. Believe it or not at some dealerships Lube techs make close to what the average line tech makes. In the end I just want to be an engineer for Toyota not a lube or line tech.

Anyhow I noticed you're in Jacksonville. Ever take your Runner to Keith Pierson Toyota? That's the old dealership I worked at before the transfer here. Also I think your the member who's planning to move here so If you do make sure you buy whatever you want as far as guns go before coming here. Stupid CO gun laws changed even tho it's still open carry here...

Nice! I may be looking for a dealer when I get out there... I'm looking to get a new Limited.

I've been to Keith Pierson quite a bit over the years. I bought a Rav4, an Avalon, and a tC from them. I would have bought the 4Runner from them too but my guy was gone and they wouldn't negotiate without me coming all the way out there. Arlington gave me what I wanted and they were closer. You weren't the guy that left the oil cap off the tC back in '04 were ya? :D I drove that sucker all the way home, about 35 miles, and it was a mess!

I hear ya about the gun laws. I'm stocked up for now and will hold out hope for the next election cycle. That's also why I plan to be ther before the 7/1 crap goes into effect.

I think my current dealership is one of the biggest in this state. Its double the size of KPT and I see 4 times the amount of cars come in daily. Never a dead day here.

Hahaha I started working at KPT around 07 or 08 so I can proudly say it wasn't me. :P

gotta love this guy.

Definitely looks like someone I'd be willing to pull out of a ditch.. :nono:

being from Fl. Im sure he feels the same about you, being you, are more likely to be the one in a ditch this winter but what do I know lol

No, just no. Any of the following should be enough to justify why that crap is asinine:

  • Is the irony of the whole "Native" thing lost on these sort of people?

  • We're all fortunate enough to live in such a great place, why waste your energy being a curmudgeon?

  • Welcome to America, where the states are United. If you want to get aggro about the place you live, there's lots of that in Africa, Europe, etc. Move there and go nuts.

  • If you want isolation, move to Montana, Idaho, Alaska, etc... Colorado has thrived off of tourism since the late 60's and even the Gold Rush to a certain extent.

  • I can't tell you how many "Native" Coloradans I've met that don't have the first clue about enjoying what the state has to offer.

But, he's a Bronco's fan! He's good in my book! :)

I somewhat agree, I see where "Colorado" natives are getting fed up with more and more people moving here, its already over populated as it is. I'm not going to touch on the non winter drivers.

Just because someone has a bumper sticker, does NOT mean they are a bad person, or a grumpy old man.

  • Welcome to America, where the states are United. If you want to get aggro about the place you live, there's lots of that in Africa, Europe, etc. Move there and go nuts.
Really?

  • If you want isolation, move to Montana, Idaho, Alaska, etc... Colorado has thrived off of tourism since the late 60's and even the Gold Rush to a certain extent.
True, off of "tourism" not more and more people moving here. Tourism means they GO BACK HOME.

What just cause they may not like to go skiing, hiking, wheeling or rock climbing, the same could be said about any, coastal state and people not going to the beach.

I don't know about the coastal statement. I don't know many CA or OR folks who don't love them some beaches.

It wasn't just one bumper sticker, he went as far as vanity plates... if that's not a curmudgeon, then nothing is.

I moved here because I was a tourist once... way back in '94. I was a kid and was blown away with Snowboarding on MOUNTAINS. I didn't really grasp what that meant until I did it, so I made it a life goal to get here. 14 years later, I got here. So forgive me if I'm a bit sensitive about this topic, but I can confidently say that my moving to Colorado will not lead to its downfall but rather its betterment. :bluejump:

Any of you Colorado guys free next week (July 29th-Aug 2nd)? I'm eager to take my new 3rd Gen out and possibly bring along my 4Runner Recovery Vehicle...PM me if you're interested.

Moving to CO, I don't understand the "native" mentality, unless it has a lot to do with turning the state into another left wing Socialist Commiefornia, because the liberals have already managed to ruin and bankrupt THAT state and need new places to metastasize and destroy.

Then I can totally sympathize and would like to add to the population of Colorado's right wing, grumpy mountain men.
