My 4-wheeling passion is the Colorado high country...has been that way ever since I discovered it in 2004. I've done most of the better-known trails (using the Wells guide books, mostly), but have always been a bit apprehensive about us being out in the backcountry alone in just one vehicle. So I was looking for a way to network with some local folks, maybe join in on a group ride once in a while, for comraderie and also better safety. And even if I didn't get to join any group outings, I thought it would be nice to get trail reports, just to stay abreast of current conditions, closures, etc.

I tried to join the group last week but there was no response, so I figure they only accept Colorado residents.
