Comfortable seats 2011 sr5

We are thinking of heading West this summer (Yellowstone...Rushmore...Canyonlands...Grand Canyon etc) from NJ. Any suggestions on replacing / modifying the front leather seats (heated) on a 2011 SR5? The factory seats are just not comfortable enough for 8 hour days. This is certainly an area that Toyota could have done a better job!

I did this trip in '76, but I didn't have a wife back then:kiss:

It's more about the person than the seat. I drive 10 hour days no problems. Some guys can't drive two hours in comfort.

Agreed with the comment above me. Before I bought my t4r, I went and checked out many cars. I drove a jeep wrangler for an hour and my ass started seriously hurting. I drive the runner for 6 hours plus and I'm still fine. I can't say anything about the leather though, maybe get some wet okoles because I think those feel uhhhhhhhh mazzinggggggggg

^This, man try the seats n the 4th gen ! And I thought they were good until I sat in these now . Any seat for 8 hrs is a B#@^h thank god my bladder won't let me go that long !! Keep adjusting the lumbar & fiddle with the settings .

I made the trip (alone) in '76, camped in the back of my Blazer 2dr. My wife doesn't like the 3/4 day drive to get there (or camping)...wants to fly, rent a car and stay in motels.

We'll see a lot more driving and can take a lot more stuff...a cooler, a Glock (HR-218) etc. It would save the extra cash for returning the rental to another state and flying back from another airport.

I got a new seat cushion for the motorcycle for Christmas. I'll get her to try it and see how she feels. If it works for her, I'll look for the same gel/memory foam combo for the car seat.
