Common Maintenance Items I should just get now

Hi Everyone,

I am about to purchase a few axle bolts (attach to end of CV axle) since I broke one changing my CV's from OEM Toyota & Scion Parts Online | ToyotaPartsOverstock.com and the shipping total is about $11 and the parts cost is only $3... so it got me thinking I should just pick up a few other known maintenance items that I will have to replace during my ownership anyway. Any suggestions? Info about 4Runner in the signature except it is at 185k.

Timing is critical I would do a timing set if you don't know when it was last done.

Just had the timing belt done (and all other belts changed) plus the usual pulleys and seals. Thanks for the suggestion.

You're talking about the studs in the halfshaft? F*** those things, pound them out and replace them with bolts.

I am actually talking about the retaining bolt and washer that threads into the end of the CV shafts. I believe it functions as a back up to all of the washers retaining the hubs. I posted on here about it several weeks ago and the community consensus was that these bolts are pretty useless as the C clip does all of the work. But since I have one on the passengers side I want one on the drivers side as well. Also I wish I had pounded those things out when I changed the CVs those studs are the absolute worst. How did you manage to pound them out? there is no way I could get any room to swing a hammer at them from under the truck.
