I rarely take it over 2,000-2,500 rpm in an attempt to fix my MPG problem, but I ALWAYS stay under the 3,000 mark, so a lead foot is not the issue.

Have you cheked it with a GPS? Reset everything (odometer & GPS) to zero when you cross a mileage marker. Go for 10 miles, then see. (also need to check that the highway markers are accurate)

LOL , that would kind of be a waste of time. No need for it I did not use those things for my calculations . ( milemarkers ect...)

I know mine is very close and I'm happy with it. 1mph off or a 1/10th between mile markers , is mot that big of a deal. My comp. matches my mph , and my manual calculations for fuel my also match with in a few 10th of a gallon ............ close enough for me. Do I understand that with the bigger tires 70/17's that I will actually travel further than my odo shows , yes , that would also work even better in my favor for gas milage and milage on my vehicle.

Also remember there is not a vehicle speedometer that is 100% accurate and the comp. is designed to give averages , not exact stat's.

Also with the use of the miles/range before empty.
If I go on a trip with Alaskaman and we both fill up and agree to meet someplace in 5 hours lets say , I drive fast and lead footed and he drives conservative , there will be a difference in how you range adjusts itself as you drive.

If it doesn't get better when I try Shell instead of Chevron then I'll tell the dealer to check it out when I go in for my 5k check-up. I have 4,500 right now so it'll be at 5,000 in 2-3 weeks.
