Good pickup...my brother just got PX4 Subcompact last month...he loves it! Very reliable so far.

I got the .40 cal. I can pick it up on the 28th so I'll shoot (no pun intended) some pics of it and give a more in depth review of my impressions.

40 cal is an excellent choice...probably my preferred caliber for defense. However, the ammo is just too expensive, esp. if you shoot a lot! I can't afford it! For me, 9mm is good enough for defense if you pick the right ammo, but is cheap enough to be able to shoot a lot without breaking my bank account.

Kahr P45 with the DLC finish

I'm a fan of the 40, BUT only in a full size pistol. To acheive the velocities the 40 needs to equal the 45, it needs a full length barrel. Going to a 3" barrel really cuts some velocity.

For that reason, the 45 is my carry round.

I travel for a living and its hard to keep up with each states laws. so I only carry while in the Southeast as most of the states have reciprocity with FL and recognize FLorida's CWP.

I am geting ready to take a cross country trip from FL to Utah to put my truck in Moab and will begin to research each states laws along the way so that I am dont end up getting arrested for some BS state law. Ignorance will not keep me out of jail I am affraid.

Florida's reciprocity is great. All, but a dozen or so states honor it (Resident permits). Non-residents have a few more states that don't honor it. Texas' Non Resident Permit (Aslo a shall issue state) has vast reciprocity.

I carrry a GLock 22 on my hip, a GLock 27 on my ankle, and a Colt AR3 in the back of my vehicle. I can carry in any state, anywhere, anytime, ......, concealed or open. What a deal, huh?

I am with Manhunter, any place, any time... Which means, all places, all times, and even church ;-) you never know.

Dave Grossman, you would agree with the concept, ....., you never know when or where you may find yourself in a situation that you may have to respond with deadly force, yes even church. Especially for those in law enforcement, if you don't carry off duty, shame on you - read the book "Warrior Mindset" by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman and Michael J. Asken, PHd.

My Kahr Magazines are low profile. I carry a spare in my left front pocket.
