Conceal Handgun...What do you carry?

I daily carry a Springfield XD40SC with a Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe.

ATTN Va. residents:
It was stated earlier in this thread that even with a CC permit you are not allowed to CC in a restaurant that serves alcohol. While this was true at the time the statement was made, it has since changed. You are now allowed to carry in any establishment that serves alcohol as long as they do not have signs prohibiting this on the door, and you are not consuming alcohol.

It's a Ross Leather Slide. I guess I shouldn't say it's uncomfortable.

Another reason for putting it in the console is that I wear it on my right side (seat belt buckle), and would have a tough time drawing quickly.

you can try putting it between the seat and the console, just ahead of the seat belt buckle. This is how keep it at times. I also am right handed and the buckle does get in a way sometimes. As long as you are in the car there shouldn't be a problem with concealing it and i would guess that once u exit the car you would take it with you.

Daily carry is a S&W 38 j frame airweight with concealed hammer in a pancake holster. Also carry a S&W M&P 40 compact (awesome gun )inside waistband holster when I want a lil more firepower. I bought a ruger LCP and it would be perfect for concealed carry if it worked correctly (back pocket )but it doesnt work well enough to bet my life on it hence the trusty 38.

That looks familiar. I carry a P95 in the same holster. Currently working towards a Sig P229.

I also believe I heard that you can consume alcohol if you are open carrying? I don't think it's true but I'd like some verification one way or another.

I'm thinking of getting a compact handgun and trying to decide between a Glock 19, CZ 75 Compact, CZ P01, CZ P06, or CZ PCR. Anyone have experience with any of these and recommend one out of the list?

I have a Glock 23 and I love it. It is the .40 cal version of the 19. I have never had a single problem with my Glock so my vote is for the G19. Just put some night sights and a Hogue Handall on it and you are good to go for 20 years.

You can't go wrong with a Glock. I would also consider the new Ruger LC9 i think...my brother just got it. Not sure about reliability, but it sure is nice and small...and initial reviews have been glowing.

I would recommend the Glock 27 - .40 cal and smaller frame than the 23. I have carried Glocks on duty for 20 years now and have never, never, had a single problem. They will last a lifetime.

Not an easy conceal and I usually just open carry...but I lug around a XDM .40 full frame. I've been tossing around the idea of picking up a sub-compact for a true conceal carry...but can't decide whether I want to stay with the caliber I already have alot of rounds for, or go with something like the G36 Glock which is their only sub-slimline but chambered in .45

Right now my only thought in choices would be between the G36 or the XD sub in .40

Love to see people recommending the Glocks on here. I have a G19 and a G26. I mostly carry the G26 just because of size, but both fit in my Crossbreed Supertuck.

EDIT: I see a lot of people on here are are suggesting the .40 cal. I've been thinking about making the switch but right now I'm still faithfully carrying the 9's.

Lots of law enforcement agencies, to include mine, carry the .40 cal. It allows high capacity magazines like the 9mm, but has stopping power similar to the .45 cal round.
