Connecting snorkel to cold air intake

Alright fellas, bumper and snorkel are incoming...if you even remember me :)

I'm wondering if there are legitimate options link the cold air to the snorkel so I don't have to revert to a stock intake. Anyone have any recommendations?

If not, you SoCal 3rd gens be aware I will be looking to swap here soon if you're interested. Thanks

I installed an inline air filter from spectre, its been working like a champ.

No i dont have any pictures, id take some but camera is broke :/ I just went with the 5 inch. It took some work to get all the plumbing right but i think its worth it. I think it cost like 80 bucks plus the plumbing.

You rock man! If you do end up with a way to take a picture or two I would really appreciate it. Won't be installing for another week or two so I have time
 
It sounds like you are eliminating the benefit of a snorkel? Aside from an aesthetic point of view
 
I thought about using an inline filter when I got my snorkel but wasn't sure if anyone had used one on a runner before so I just went with the stock airbox ( I was running a K&N cai). Any particular reason you're against that?

Not at all, I just don't want to go back to an airbox and stock intake that I'll end up having to plug the intake silencer holes just to get back to the unrestricted flow I enjoy right now. Seems more logical to connect to the exisiting rather than revert and then customize.

Just the redundant labor in removing a cold air intake to put in a stock airbox, only to have to remove the intake and do the isr mod to get it closer to where i am now. Would rather just connect the snorkel to the CAI and have one nice direct line or air flow.

Sorry about the no camera situation, ill try and borrow someones soon, but just imagine an inline filter in place of the stock airbox connected to the maf and the snorkel tubing. Google spectre inline filter and you can see what they look like.
 
I too am interested in seeing how this works, since I have an AEM intake at the moment and would like to add one of those Hilux snorkels.
 
Pallet will be leaving CO next week. I already have a plan in place thanks to [MENTION=90789]Troutsrunner[/MENTION] and the inline filter suggestion. Probably just use rubber tubing and o clamps.

Have you had any experience with cleaning it? Wondering how that works..

Ive only been using it for about 2000 miles so havent really cleaned it. I took it out last week and it still looked good.
