Considering Trading-In the 4Runner

Did I tell anyone I'm thinking about getting a Honda Accord?

The question is: are U trading in the 4R for the accord?

If the answer is no... You have our blessing, go, buy it and be good.

If the answer is yes... Go and find an old razor blade that is dull and 3 bags of limes... First squeeze all the limes into a jar then proceed to shave all your body. Afterwards cover yourself with the limejuice. After 2 hours of screaming pain maybe your senses have come back and you will not trade the 4R.

P.D. if still you don't change your mind after the lime juice... get two cotton swabs put some crazy glue in them and place them in your nose. Let them dry... now pull them!!
Let's hope we don't need to go further.

Don't worry, I was kidding around and it translated poorly through the keyboard (hence the ""). I have no intentions of either buying an Accord or abandoning my beloved 4Runner :awais:

Although, it would be nice to be able to have both the 4Runner AND an Accord. It may have a "family car" image, but I once test drove a 2-door V6 with the 6 speed manual transmission, and it was a very fun ride. Combine that with the decent gas mileage, built-in XM radio, and iPod adapter in the glove box, and you have a pretty good commuter!

I think the newer Pathfinders are fine looking cars. But don't trade your Runner in because you think it's not fast enough or tall enough.

There is a certain amount of dignity and pride one derives from owning a Toyota. This is due to the vehicle's well-earned reputation for quality, dependability and reliability.

Our Runners aren't supposed to be hot-rod street machines. They are "utilitarian" vehicles designed to accommodate lots of different functions and lifestyles. These are amazing vehicles, especially considering how refined and yet how off-road capable they are. Like was mentioned earlier, you can trick out your ride if that's important to you.

But look at it another way: Your buddy can trick out his Pathfinder all he wants, and it's never going to be a Toyota. I saw a list on Yahoo or somewhere recently that showed the top vehicles for resisiting depreciation (thus, the vehicles that hold their value best). The Toyota 4-Runner was No. 1.

Remember, it's not how fast you go; it's how well you go fast.

I wouldn't even consider a Camry or a Pathfinder. The camry is a nice vehicle, but it does not have any personality. The Pathfinder is not as nice as the 4runner.....interior styling is cheap and does not look as good being it looks like a big box.

I don't think you can really top the 4runner. I'm probably going to keep mine for 7-8 years. If you really want a new car though, try something different. I just bought a 2008 Altima (my fiancee is going to be driving the 4runner). Imho it's a good design with lots of power and it's fun to drive to. You should check that out.
