For those of you with Prinsu racks: How sturdy are the side rails? They look very thin compared to other round or square tube cross-section designs. Do any of you have RTTs mounted on your Prinsu rack? I'm concerned with those rails flexing.
For those of you with moon roofs and full-length racks that block it, is it weird? It seems weird to block the moon roof for emergency egress situations and for allowing airflow during good weather days.
I have a 2016 TEP (with a moon roof). I'm having a hard time deciding on a rack because of a few factors:

I have a 2016 TEP (with a moon roof). I'm having a hard time deciding on a rack because of a few factors:
- I would prefer a full-length rack to allow for more versatile storage area
- I would prefer to allow access through the moon roof, but this is not a deal breaker
- I plan to buy a RTT. So I think a flat rack is more appealing than the Gobi (which I originally really liked).
- While I cringe at the thought of drilling into my new vehicle, I'll do it if that's required for the better end product
- I would prefer to keep the overall height as low as possible

Could you add the height difference for each rack into your summary?

For the Ezee-Awn racks, the table currently indicates that drilling is required. According to the installation from Equipt | Roof Top Tents, Expedition Roof Racks, Dual Battery Systems, Portable Fridges, NO drilling is required:
"At this point, the front end of the mounting rail will sit proud of the roof line a bit at the front. This is okay, and we will address resolving this in a moment. Understand that there is about a foot and a half of rail that is in front of the forward OEM mounting points. Our goal here is to securely mount the rail to the front without requiring drill holes in the roof. When installed properly, the K9 Roof Rack System does not require drilling, but it does require tightening the components in a sequence to ensure the rail sits tight on the roof."

Side rails are super sturdy, I have stood on my side rail and it doesnt budge.
Several have run RTTs and I am not aware of issues. I have never ran one my self.
I have the moon roof on my TEP, I just keep the sun shade closed all the time (its covered in patches anyway). Before that I did run open sun roof a few times but its too noisy, also there is more noise with the sun shade open, I just keep it sealed at all times now.
I dont see the moon roof as a viable escape hatch...not an issue for me.
Drilling was easy and it only adds something like 4" to the total height. I really like mine. Good luck.
So basically if I want a full length long/long roof rack that doesn't require drilling to install I'm screwed with lead times. From what I'm seeing on the forums here are some estimated realistic lead times from the top and most trusted companies:
Gobi - 4-5 months
Baja - 2-3 months
Pinsu - 2-3 months / drilling required
Echotechne - international?!?!
Eezi-Awn - ?!??!
Any other great roof racks out there with shorter lead times?!

From the time I visited Equipt Expedition Outfitters in Salt Lake City and the installation day, it was less than 3 weeks. You should contact them to check the lead time now.

SSO coming out with their full length rack with no drilling in a few weeks. Will have to wait to find out lead time.

I like the SSO roof rack especially if there is no drilling!!!
I found this one last night while looking at alternatives to a metal rack. I looked around and I don't see anyone with any experience with this rack...anyone? And I am not sure if you need to drill or not, i could not find any documentation on their site.

Yeah and how about the wind noise? I have a sunroof and am hoping to get the right RR that will have minimal wind noise.

Reminds me of the South American company that ripped off Prinsu and some other bumper. That being said, i wonder what lead times are? Haha
Yes, I placed my order at Gobi. Quoted lead time was 16-20 weeks.

I put a Gobi on mine. Only wind noise is when I'm in a strong crosswind, in which case life sucks and the wind noise is the least of my concerns.
I have the stealth, and have not put lights on there yet - so not sure how that will end up.
I did not do a group buy, and got mine in exactly 12 weeks. Exactly. It didn't come with the sunroof cutout piece but after 1.5 months and 4 emails I finally got that also.
I really like the quality of the build - I have built several roof racks in my day and this is professionally made all around. It's solid.
That thing is freaking heavy and I do NOT recommend putting it on your rig by yourself. Damn near dropped a nut.
