Does no one like the NFAB Roof Rack

That's a shame I like their rack... but I'm not waiting 6 months for a rack.

Finally installed my Warrior rack.
Weighs in right at 65lbs including brackets, mounting, etc.
Took about an hour to mount up, taking my time. I installed it myself, but of course a second person is recommended to help with the rack itself. I used a moving blanket to keep from scratching anything while i moved everything around.
Overall, seems like great quality, super sturdy. Not sure how the weight compares to others, but i imagine it isn't the lightest. Pleasantly surprised at the lack of wind noise. I got up to about 75mph and didn't notice any real increase in wind noise. My Maxx St tires aren't the quietest, so that doesn't hurt either.
No clue about fuel consumption change yet, my 4R spends most of its days in the garage any more, so it'll be a while before i notice.
I purchased mine from Amazon, and it was shipped within a day or two. No month or 6 wait...
Overall rack height from roof, about 4 1/8" inches. I meant to measure the stock rail height to get the difference between the two and forgot...

Looks awesome. I saw this rack on sale for something like $615 a few weeks back on CarID.com but it's still around $645 on there now and seems to be the cheapest. Kinda just killing time trying not to pull the trigger to avoid raising suspicion from the wife since we have a 3 month old and a whole new set of related expenses lolol
Just installed SSO rack
Greetings. This is my first post on this forum. I read it all the time and have learned a ton from all the great info and thought I’d pay it forward.
In October, I bought a 2018 TRD Off Road and have been hard at work making it the overlanding rig of my dreams with a project about every weekend.
Today, I installed my Southern Style Off-road roof rack. I labored a while over which rack to order and was leaning toward Gobi Stealth. I like the look of it and it gets good reviews. But I really liked the slotted rails and functionality of the SSO rack and the weight of the aluminum manufacturing. I wasn’t sure about the style from the pics online but ultimately decided to buy it.
It came in this week and I just installed it. I have no affiliation with SSO and this is the first product I’ve bought from them, but I am thrilled with the rack. The manufacturing is the best I’ve seen from an after-market product. It is extremely precise. Every thread, bracket and bolt lines up perfectly. The wind faring makes a nice seal on the front. I haven’t tested it at speed yet because it’s raining all day here and I want to let the silicone cure before driving in the rain, but I have confidence it’ll do a good job with aerodynamics.
In terms of aesthetics, I have to say it looks way better in person than the pictures. It’s nicely proportioned and looks more refined and less aggressive (I hope that makes sense) in person than in pics.
The install was easy but does involve close to 90 different bolts. I think the instructions could be a little clearer but it was so intuitive, you could probably figure it out with no instructions and I really just used them to guide the best sequence. The pictures with the instructions (online) were helpful. This is a no-drill install, which is nice.
Overall, I’m very happy with it. I’d post pics but there are plenty of pics on the SSO website and, as noted, I don’t think the pics do it justice. It looks better in person.
For comparison, other projects I’ve done so far include: installing a C4 Fabrication Lo-Pro Winch bumper, installing OEM Audio Plus speakers, installing an sPod SE, installing a winch solenoid, upgrading to deep cycle battery, installing two 12v outlets that are tied to the sPod and can be made hot regardless of ignition status (one in the cargo area and one in the passenger footwell), installing fender flares, installing Rago Molle Panels. The install of the SSO roof rack was considerably easier than the bumper, speakers or rear 12v. It was comparable to the sPod install or fender flares and a bit more involved than the Molle panels. Took about 2.5 hours.

Love for Smittybuilt Defender RR
I have had this rack for over a year now and have been very happy with it. It's tough as nails, great powder coating, fairly low profile, and works with OEM rails. Price was ~$500 with mounting brackets. I have strapped 300+ pounds of lumber to it and hauled gear all over the state with no issues.

I don't understand the obsession with Gobi racks. Heavy and they need maintenance and/or they rust. And there is a 6month lead time? FrontRunner here I come.

Curious how the warrior is holding up and how you are liking it?

+1 on this. I just purchased the rago roof rails because I knew they wouldn’t add height to my setup. Fitting into garages is important to some of us. From pictures I think the ecotechne might be as low as well as the rhino rack and arb but pictures can be deceiving. Would be great if we could measure them all ourselves from the middle center of the roof, like right behind the shark fin to highest point on the rack.

Gobi is the only rack I've seen that looks similar to the Camelback Metal rack that I already have on my 2012. I just got a 2019 and need another rack. Aesthetically, I like that the CBM is low profile not only in height but isn't very large or wide. Also, I like that it's round. I have a large Yakima box on one side. During the summer I have a kayak rack on the other. When the kayak rack isn't on, I've fit 14 16 ft 2x6's (7 side by side) and other combinations of lumber on the rack next to the box. I've hauled a lot of lumber on that rack. I simply bungee it to the mesh. That will be tougher with the Gobi as the front pipe is higher than the back which will tilt longer lumber toward the back. I've also bungeed coolers and other equipment next to the box on trips. The basket style rack with mesh is very utilitarian. My two dogs take up the entire back of my 4runner so the Camelback Metal rack has been awesome.
If there is something very similar to the Gobi or Camelback Metal, I'd give it a look. ?? If not, I need to order soon as it's a long wait.

Anyone aware of a drop-in replacement for a 2020 TRD Pro rack?
I realize some can be made to fit, but there have been issues at times and I’d rather not create a leak in my new TRDP.
Baja makes a basket that fits inside the existing rack but that’s a terrible solution. They should have made a clean drop in replacement.
