Contemplating a full wrap

My 04's paint has seen better days. As a result, I have been thinking about wrapping it. The color is a 3M Satin Thundercloud. With that in mind, what all do you guys think needs to come off to do a good job? Just the fender flares / cladding, emblems, license plate light cover thing?

There are a few scratches in the paint that have gouges. I know youll be able to see those with the wrap, but overall, the paint on the bumper and hood are faded, oxidized, etc.

What do you guys think?

With the price of wraps going up, it is hardly worth it. An ok paint shop could sand and clear coat what you have probably for less amd it would hold up better.
You'll never get the money back from it is the problem. My insurance is saying my 2005 with high mileage is only worth 6500 despite upgrades and current maintenance, so if it gets in a crash, you are out$..

If you are adventurous, just sand it and clear coat it yourself for a couple bucks

I got a good paint job for less than the price of a full wrap.

I found an independent shop that had a kid who has been painting cars for 5 years and he showed his work on Instagram. I told him I wasn't expecting the world, but I want something better than Maaco. He delivered. Sanded everything down, fixed the dents, then base coat and clear coat.

It's not OEM perfect but very very close. Actually, the clear coat he used is harder than OEM, he said it should hold up much better to the desert heat/sun.

I was going to do the wrapping myself. I have not done a full car before. I have done roofs, trunks, hoods, mirrors, etc. So, this will be my first time. I anticipate material being around $500.

debating between that and raptor lining it so they have so many colors

Wraps can look super cool, but as I get past my 20's I just don't want to be flashy at all. I want attention turned away from me, especially with the current climate of car theft in Colorado.

A decent paint job can be cheaper than a wrap. The cost is just insane if you want it done correctly. I'd just paint and then add a clear bra where needed.
