Controls don't work

Hey Guys:

I ran into issue with my 4Runner. I got in today and noting works. The heated seats don't turn on, I cannot turn on the climate control, the ac power button, differential button, and RCSA button doesn't work, the compass on the mirror and the other button doesn't work. This sounds like a fuse issue to me but thought I would run it by the group. Any ideas?

F@dge, now the turns light don't work the air bags light came and VSC off, VSC Trac light and the slippery road light came on and now the check engine light is on. What the hell is going on with this car.

Can't help you without more info (year, trim and options such as aftermarket stuff).

Its a 2005 4Runner Limited V8. I have no aftermarket parts on it. The last thing I did was pull my pop up trailer home last night.

...and the winner is drmorbius....unfortunately I had taken it to the dealership by then. The cost was not to bad $98 and they said it was a fuse. I am assuming it is the fuse that drmorbius is talking about because I checked the rest of them. Just posting so the next person who encounters this problem knows that all of these can happen because of a simple fuse. I think I might have caused this with my home made wiring harness.

I will tell you guys something. I have had this car for three weeks now. I traded in a 2004 Nissan Murano with less km and a warranty and then added 9K to get this truck. The Nissan was the most reliable car I have ever owned so I bought this instead thinking Toyota rules nothing happens to these cars. I thought I was going to start crying when this happened today. But wisdom got the better of me before I started crying and I figured come'on this is a Toyota, sh!t like this never happens to these cars. It must be a simple solution. Who knew this probably my fault. I am back to my love affair with the 4runner LOL My wife is too :)

I had the same exact problem in my 2005 Limited. The cause of the problem: remote starter was hooked up wrong and live wires rubbed together. It is kind of scary because everything in the truck keeps going out.
