Cooked the engine

Was all set to sell this this week but there was , what i thought, a diesel pump leak...turned out to be an oil leak and i just cooked the engine this morning. This one has been nothing but bad news. Thinking now of teaching myself how to strip the engine and keep the parts ? Also bumpers, indicators, lenses etc for spares for my other 3 trucks? Good idea or just sell it as is.

What parts could i get ?
Starter motor.
Diesel pump.
battery.

Sell as is. Honestly. Parting a vehicle is a huge pain in the ass. It is not worth it. Call a salvage yard, take the 300 they throw at you and walk away.

If you've got the time and space to do it right, strip that engine down and rebuild it. It ain't like you don't have another truck to drive while it's down.

Parting out a truck (if you have the space and time) Is a great way to really learn how to take everything apart.

I bought a 95 runner for the motor for $600 USD. I kept the motor, axles, gears, and an assortment of other parts and ended up MAKING 200 (so 800ish total) bucks on the truck by selling parts off it.

Thanks guys. Gonna exchange the hood with my trail truck which has got bad uv damage and take a couple of interior parts to bring my 2 good trucks to near stock as possible and then mull it over.

Does anyone know how to replace the reading lights bulbs? Blonde question but I can't figure it out...does the cover just pop off or something ?

Looks horrid ! Replaced the hood and took off all the lights/grills and stuff and then sold it on.

Making myself a new central rest with the gear lever surround. Fits perfect
