Problem with this is that "cool" is fairly subjective. Whereas I like tire "x", you will love tire "y". Not sure how far this discussion will go but...

I just got Cooper Discoverer ATP in 265/70/18. They were about 70 bucks cheaper than the Duratracs, have a low weight, and a 55,000 mile warranty. They are very smooth and very quiet for being an AT tire. They are a bit louder than stock, but still pretty darn quiet. They are a little bit more aggressive than the AT/3's and I am very happy with them. For me it came down to the Nitto Terra Grapplers and the ATP's (discount tire exclusive). I choose them as I hate lighting bolts and I think they have superior wet weather performance. Also just to be different as everyone has the TG and they don't have a warranty. I appreciate companies that stand behind their product.

I went with Nitto Terra Grapplers and have been very pleased.
 
I've got the AT3s on my 4th Gen. Really like them so far. ~800 miles on them and the molding/seam excess rubber just finally wore off.

Oh, and they're made in America. + 55k mile warranty. :)
 
Based mainly on info from here, I ordered the A/T3 (P) for our 2010 SR5 and my wife just had them installed today. I've yet to see them.

FWIW, Discount Tire matched online pricing (plus shipping) and I ended up getting them for $158 each plus install. Also FWIW, Discount is running a $100 rebate on 4 tires today & tomorrow. And Cooper has an additional $75 rebate on 4 tires. Discount Tire Direct has the rebate thru Sept 3.

Can't speak for him, but possibly he prefers the lower purchase and operating expense, higher load capacity at rec'd psi, higher speed rating, better wet traction tread compound, and shorter stopping distances.

not happening. a P is inferior to an LT all around.

but, if thats the koolaid you like to drink, thats fine.

car tires on cars, truck tires on trucks.

Superior/inferior are judgement calls, but facts are facts.

I don't care what tire people buy - I run LTs myself - but I like to see some counterbalance to the widespread idea that LTs are pure upgrade with no tradeoffs. It's simply not true.
 
My passenger/car tires lasted me 10 days before a sidewall blew. Never again on an off road vehicle. Sidewalls are paper thin on P. E only for me. Ill take the mpg hit for safety all day long

No kool aid here you are wrong. Do a little research before you post something like this. If you find some evidence to prove Jb wrong (you won't) cite your sources for a shred of credibility.
 
Here's my 2 cents on the topic. For the cool factor I like the Nitto Terra Grappler A/T's .
I think they are a great looking tire. Now for the practical answer I like the Firestone Destination A/T tire. Still looks like a great tire but seems to be a better all around tires under many conditions.
