anyone else have these? my local Toyo delaer stocks these for $9 each. kinda pricey, but def. cool. the last time i was there about a year ago i purchased the last one they had. when i went today to buy a cabin air filter they had about 5 more. pretty snazzy imo.

sorry about the pic quality, i had to take it w/out a flash as they're pretty shiny.

I have one. It's a black rectangular one, with the 3rd gen 4Runner logo on it, much like the one on the bottom, except black with gold lettering..

sounds cool!

i guess i should explain these better as the pic doesn't do much justice:::

they're about 1.5" x.5" and a quarter inch thick. they're pretty weighty and each silver plate sandwiches some black piece, presumably plastic. it has a leather doo-dad that connects it to a 'u' shaped ring that snaps open and closed and it's pretty decent quality as the first one i have has lasted well over a year or so.

I bought this keychain w/ 4th gen font couple weeks after I got my truck (Sep. 2003).

I believe Toyota only make these when the 4th gen came out in late 2002 and early 2003. I also bought couple dark green 4th gen t-shirts (a drawing of a T4R w/ cladding and big "Move Over" text on the side on the back of the shirt)on ebay.

I can't seem to find either the keychain nor the t-shirt any more. If possible, I would like to get more of these as my keychain is a little worn and the shirts are getting old..

:(

The Japanese have a bit of a weakness for mad badges. Hence, the current Toyota symbol that looks like a cowboy in a big hat, but is actually three elipses depicting the heart of the customer, the heart of the product, and the ever-expanding technological advancements and boundless opportunities that lie ahead. It says here.

Another reason that was submitted to this website is that, in Japanese, 'Toyo' means an abundance of, and 'ta' is rice. I'm told that some Asian cultures believe that those blessed with an abundance of rice are blessed with great wealth.
