cooling system question

Is our cooling system sealed ? The new tank I have as a two port lid on top of it , the stock one is a single port , flowing into and out of the rad , since the new tank has two ports on the lid will it still work ? Since there is a way for air to come in and out of the new tank from the second port is the rad still getting coolant that it needs , seems like suction would be reduced.....any input would be great , I don't want to explode my motor over something stupid....

Not completely sealed, no. The cap on the expansion reservoir isn't air-tight, and it shouldn't be. However, the hose that enters the reservoir should always remain under the level of the coolant in that tank. If it doesn't, you risk sucking air into the system.

Not sure what that other nipple would be for...but I'd say cork it up so random crap doesn't enter the system. Unless the cap for the new reservoir seals air-tight. Is it an OEM reservoir?
