Cornfed 3/2 Install, DFW, Quick Bucks?

folks,
I have 2006 SE and have Cornfed 3/2 sitting in my garage and looking for places to have it installed. I have checked with 4Wheel parts but they dont want to touch XREAS. Is there any place you guys know in DFW where I can get it done. I know a few folks did it themselves. Is there anybody willing to do it over the weekend (I am willing to pay and bring beer ).

I paid a visit to Daystar yesterday to talk about the XREAS system and installing their lifts. After our conversation I called a Toyota dealership to validate information Daystar told me. During the conversation with the dealer I asked about what they will charge to install the Daystar lift. They quoted me a price of $470 and that includes the alignment.
That is not to bad coming from a dealer and I bet 4WheelParts is pretty close even without the XREAS.

Grab a friend and do it yourself . You'll learn a lot about your truck in the process and a spacer lift with XREAS is doable from what I've read on this forum.

Just remember, air tools are your friend! If you don't have them it just takes a little longer :cheers:

I am tempted to change it myself but the pressurized XREAS system concerns me. You dont have much mobility of the shock so you have to work on it in very tight space and cant move it much.
I guess it is a risk thing. Worst case I damage the XREAS system and put on a Toytec coil over system
Heck to be honest, that is really the direction I want to go and I know I can do that one myself. Put that on our FJ and really like it.

just try it to install it yourself. i was asking for help in the local forum and no one offered to help so i just installed the lift myself. It's not that hard really. I didn't get any help and did it in about 10 hours alone in the garage.

I will not have that much time at hand to do it on the weekend. With caring for a 1 year old and things to do on the weekend, I will not be able to get to it. I guess I will check with local toyota dealer....

If you do decide to do it document it well and post pictures

I'm in Plano and if I had any idea what I was doing I'd offer my services - but I don't. Nor do I have air tools.

BTW, if you do decide to have a shop do it you might check out these guys. I've not used them personally but I've heard good things about them.

Don't bring it to the dealer bring it to a place that does shocks and struts and just tell them not to disconnect the xreas thats what I did cost me like 315 with tax and alignment
