cracked dash

Hey guys, bad news. It was hot today, and this happened either yesterday or today. The temp has been in the mid 80s here at Mississippi State. Today I got into my truck and noticed a 1.5 inch crack in the center of the passengers dash. I caught it out of the corner of my eye. Is there anything I can do to stop the spread of the crack? I never used conditioning wipes, just a damp rag to clean it. Replacing it not an option for now due to cost. I don't even want to know how much it will cost to replace.

There is a very thin area on the dash pad where the passenger air bag is located. Have seen this posted before. Probably best to replace the entire pad.

Uneek said he'll be using 303 Aerospace Protectant.

thanks guys. i think i am just going to leave it alone and do what i can to prevent it from growing. I will post pics tomorrow.

I have a two foot crack in my dash! (car was parked in FL sun for 6 months) it hasnt grown since I found it though.

should i not worry about it? It is right where the airbag is. i may get the dealers opinion, but i really can't afford to get it fixed, and i don't think it will effect the airbag system. Correct me if i am wrong? it is hairline, again pics coming tomorrow

Looks like a hairline crack (unnoticeable). Maybe you can put some type of glue and let it sit then wipe off/remove the excess. Just my 2 cents.
