Cracked windshield- again!!!

You have to learn to stay well back of the traffic in front of you. It will not only save your windshield from rocks, but the rest of your frontend as well.

As a bonus, the people you are following will be generally less annoyed with you while you are behind them and your time to stop if things go pear-shaped for any reason will be greater.

Not saying that you are a tailgater, but just consider this.

Stay away from snow plows, but not much you can do when they are coming the opposite direction.

All things being equal, the closer the glass is to 90 degrees (perpendicular to the ground), the more likely it is to get windshield cracks. Even slight movements toward and away from 90 degrees can made a big difference. Toyota Supras never get windshield cracks lol.

But I feel for you. How frustrating.

Stones can bounce multiple times, across lanes, that advice doesn’t always protect you in all situations.
