Yep, mine caught a rock right below the peek-a-boo window for the VIN and cracked all the way to the edge, about 14 inches long. The windshield itself was $575 from Toyota, came to $680 installed by Speedy Glass. Not even a year old yet and the passenger side of my windshield has about a 6 inch crack in it.
Curious if anyone has had a cracked windshield yet and how much did it cost to replace it.

Our deductible is $1000, so I just paid it.Did you have to pay that? I know different states have different laws with that stuff. One of the few things I like about MA is that windshields are covered under your insurance at no cost.

I thought if its in your field of vision insurance will pay
that's one of the first things i noticed the thinner glass on the 4runner. Is this the same on the previous generations? My 02' Nissan has thicker glass and some a--hole whacked the rear passenger window with a brick 3-4 times before being scared away by a neighbor. All that was left was a huge scratch and hasn't cracked.
