Planning on looking at this in the near future. It's been on CL for a while, at this price, and I'm gonna haggle if I like the truck. What would you pay?

Looks nice. I'd ask why he's selling so soon (notice the 30 day Florida tag). As for price...nowhere near what he's asking. I'd think ~$6k +/-

It's been on CL longer than 30 days iirc, but I also wouldn't make an offer until I saw it.

Nice looking truck but there's a few red flags. There's no color called Desert sand mica & the sport editions (hood scoop) didn't come in Desert Dune Metallic. The rear license plate bezel is also color matched which I've never seen before. Could have been in an accident or just re-sprayed. I would get the vin & car fax it. The price is steep, you could get 5speed, locker & S/C for that. The guy is definitely flipping it.

Sounds like it was rolled back...be very careful.

Either a rollback or cluster swap. Seller claims he knew the owner from 2013-2017 when he purchased it. He bought it with "177k" Carfax and Autocheck come back with similar miles(270k). Told him I can't buy it. Had him down to 8250 but told him I would think about it over the weekend.

Dude doesn't seem like a shyster but maybe his "buddy" the PO is? Buyer Beware for sure

As far as the color matched lic. Bezel, that is common on a sport, my 02 had it. I can not comment on the rest of it.

Odd that it was purchased through an auction, yet he says he knows the previous owner. I guess that's possible, but definitely seems sketchy.

FWIW it does NOT look/run/drive like it has nearly 300k on it.

I swear I saw the same truck, same pictures, listed a long while time ago. He may have bought it, realized the mileage discrepancy and/or problems and is trying to unload it. There are far better deals to be had in our area, I would wait. Expand your search a bit south into SC.

Avoid all the trucks from Subarus and More that flood the area craigslist with 3rd Gens as well. I bought one through them, and come winter time, the mystery compound holding the frame together started falling apart on the interstate along with the skids. Turned out to be rusted through but very well covered up. Their response, not our problem..

They are so popular around here, if you keep a sharp eye on Craigslist you will find a solid truck soon enough.

So I ended up buying a 2014 SR5 with 65k miles for right at $25k. Pretty much the cheapest 5th gen revised bodystyle around. Used the cash I was going to use for this as $ down.

Already got it dirty too!
