[Craigslist - ABQ, NM] - ‘97 SR5 5 spd 4WD elocker - NOT MINE

This 4runner is NOT MINE....Saw it pop up on the Albuquerque Craigslist and thought maybe someone on here may be interested. I know those 5 speed 4WD are rare enough, and add the elocker! Looks like it’s been really well maintained with 230K miles. Price is a little high IMO, but it really is a rare 3rd gen and I know someone would be willing to pay that.

Hey, guys, I actually backed out of this deal. Minor things, for the most part, but it needed a couple things to be 100%. The front left fender needed replaced due to flat tire damage on the bottom that appeared to be painted over (and now peeling). The driver's side door was repainted at some point. Lastly, the elocker was not operational. No light appeared on the dash when button was pressed. This could have just been due to lack of use or maybe a malfunctioning switch. I'm not sure, but it needed fixed, nonetheless.

I see the ad is reposted and now says SOLD, so someone else must have jumped on it. Not being local to check it out, I didn't feel comfortable proceeding with the purchase.

Oh man, that’s sucks Matt! Glad you backed out of that too. Sounds like he tried to hide those things in the ad. Sorry for pointing you to it. If I had known those things, I wouldn’t have.

Hey, no worries! It could have still been a decent deal with some negotiating, but I'd have preferred to see it in person first, and the seller didn't seem too keen on negotiating.
