Cranking Amps required if battery is absolutely DEAD?

Hello,
I want to get a portable jump starter and would like to know what cranking amps are required to start the truck if the battery fails completely or is actually removed?
I am not interested in any information regarding dual battery configurations.

All I can tell you is don't skimp.

I have a PowerStation PSX whose power is described as follows: " High current EHP battery provides 1,000 Amps peak power, 400 Amps starting power'.

Had a dead battery out in the sticks and couldn't get the truck to turn over with this, however, I only tried for about a minute before I heard an engine in the distance and decided I'd better run and take advantage of my good fortune. I expect I would have eventually gotten restarted with more time but it takes more power to do so than I had assumed.

I just bought one of these http://www.amazon.com/Antigravity-B...F8&qid=1414279420&sr=8-2&keywords=antigravity It is super compact and lightweight. I have used other jumper batteries but they take a lot of space and are heavy. I read about this battery in several off road magazines and they could not believe how such a small battery could jump start vehicles. They even disconnected the main battery and started the vehicle several times with just this tiny battery. I have not had the opportunity to try mine yet starting a vehicle.

Look at replacement batteries for jumpstart packs, and find the one that uses the biggest replacement.
