Crankshaft Pulley Question

So After replacing my crankshaft sensor, my truck started to die on me again at low idle. While my wife turned the truck over for me I noticed a knock and looked at the crankshaft pulley and sure enough it was loose.

Now should I be worried about the crank? or just replace the pulley? I tightened it up and the truck is running fine but it has a little wobble to it. Should I just run it like it is? Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

I would replace the pulley, crankshaft bolt and woodruff key and torque to the 217 ft-lb. spec. If the crank shaft end looked ok and the wobble is gone, I'd relax--90% chance this will be the case, I'd say. If it still wobbles, I'd start looking for a new engine (probably cheaper than replacing the crank.)

Should be torqued to 69 in.-lbf
Did you check the resistance?
Is the pulley wobbling or the sensor?

Looks like just the pulley itself is wobbling. Im going to look further into this for sure, and yes, I think a new motor would be cheaper than a crank job

AS far as I can tell, he's talking about the pulley and that's the spec I gave him (crankshaft bolt).

Ah, the spec I gave was for the sensor...wasn't sure what was wobbling lol

I've been trying to chase down a wobbly crank pulley for a few months now. Replaced pulley with new oem, tried 2 just to see if maybe one was off balance; wood ruff key, and bolt still wobbling. Bolt is to spec crank snout looks true to straight and no cracks. soo my guess is internal, I'm going to run it untill it blows hopefully i wont be out wheeling when that happens.

Looks like I got lucky!, found one in a bone yard and took key, bolt and pulley, seems to have fixed the problem.
